But... Apple was built with venture capital.

I guess the author meant its modern incarnation rather than a garage operation that sells nerdy toys to hobbyists. Humane's first product (or at least what it was supposed to be) is a far cry from the Apple II.

Well, the Apple ][ was actually GOOD. So yeah. Not like what Humane is selling.
