The reliability issues are usually SD card related. I run my PI from a cheap 128GB SSD connected over USB3, it fixes all those issues.

I had so many issues on RPi. Got an odroid instead and now it's running with no hassles off eMMC.

SD card was probably a major reason, but i didn’t want yet another thing hanging off a usb port.
