Chaos Marketing

Apparently I pointed at the truth

H1-Bs aren't being paused. This is for immigrant visas.

Pity. Cause that's the system that needs overhauled or killed.

I tend to agree.

This is the most missed point in all of the flame throwing in this thread.

So cool. Imagine a P2P online multiplayer?

Why is this a problem? I don't understand it.

Would this apply to services offering to "promote" your post/listing to the top of the page. Like what is the legislation and logic here.

You should not be getting down voted. HN isn't Reddit. Down votes are for comments not contributing to conversation. This is a valid point.

I will say it, candy bars are garbage and should by no means be ingested.

Well disrespecting someone because of their cravings is indeed not contributing to the conversation. It's fine to ingest garbage once in a while. If you can make it less that's still better.

Your comment about downvoting is not correct. There is no 'official' stance but there is a comment from pg in 2008: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=117171

> I think it's ok to use the up and down arrows to express agreement. Obviously the uparrows aren't only for applauding politeness, so it seems reasonable that the downarrows aren't only for booing rudeness.

Well I'll guess they'll need to make an edit to post on Luc Montagnier.

Is this sarcasm?

Ya. The FBI report to the court said that Microsoft showed the GDID visited the ngrok.com/signip page while using a VPN. I would have figured at that level the OS would not know domains but likely IP addresses. So it must be browser telemetry right?

I'm not sure anything after the event horizon right? Since no light == no information.

Can magnetic fields escape, if their lines intersect the event horizon of a black hole?

No, a classic GR black hole does not have its own magnetic field. It can have electric charge, along with mass and spin, but that's it.

There is a somewhat fringe alternative idea called a MECO, which can have a magnetic field. Unlike some of the other fringe black hole alternatives, this one at least produces falsifiable predictions.

I suppose what I meant to have asked was, can an external magnetic field intersect with a black hole's event horizon and then escape?

For instance, with these theoretical tiny black holes, what would happen if you held a powerful magnet close enough for the lines of flux to actually intersect the event horizon?

I think not because light is also a field.
