yeah i mean i like chopping woods (i like the smell of it and personal satisfaction) and once upon a time people made money out of it. but hey, here come industrial revolution
Strangely, I think it does "care" or at least would perform caring.
Capitalism doesn't care what you feel. LLMs are just a distillation of the entire human written corpus, there is a lot of "caring" in there. Companies are simply spinning out threads of behavior from the corpus that serve them instead of serving all of us.
all my app builds in testsflight became unavailable since yesterday (it looks fine on appstoreconnect, but im unable to update the app if i roll out new build as a tester)
i'm working on a mobile app which spins up https://sprites.dev/ sandboxes, allows you to log in with your coding agent cli/subscription (claude code and codex currently supported), connect other services (github, vercel) and run+manage your coding agents in a convenient chat interface
it's for people who dont own a home server, don't like to keep their laptops open and working, don't want to trust on magical stuff openclaw does and instead would like to work with the usual harness they are working with day-to-day, don't want to be vendor-locked (crush/opencode/glm-5.2 and other models/providers support to come) but want to have a way to execute ideas while being away from their laptops
the demo is available on testflight and going to be released to play market soon as well
Looks cool! would be great if the pricing was down to the minute. Often some coding sessions might be quick ones, unless the focus is mostly on background agents that do long-running jobs.
sprites pricing is exactly down to a minute (or even second)
and sandboxes only operate when the agents is running and sleep when not. wake up time is super quick, under 5 seconds
(on my side tho if i make it commercial, im thinking of making it free under 3 sprites/sandboxes and small subscription fee or one time payment for above)
hmm, the pricing table shows it bills per-CPU hours. why did you specifically chose sprites.dev vs an alternative or making your own?Anything they do particularly better than others?
im planning to add support for e2b and maybe other sandbox providers (and ability to connect to your home server as well)
why sprites appealed to me is that they are stateful (the disk survives sleep and wake up) and that they are fast to wake up (and it’s not a 24/7 running vm in a traditional sense)
making my own infra for that - not sure im in capacity atm
This real world usage of LLM's favorite word shows why LLMs pair this word with "what I'm about to say is seriously unreliable".
Here, "honest description" means the author didn't make something out to be more than it is. Perfect.
Ironically, LLMs don't apply that to the thing they're describing, but to their description itself. Meaning: when they say "honestly" it flags they have no idea and are about to be lazy, make it up, and confidently assert nonsense.
It's easiest to understand if you mentally insert a phrase:
"Honestly [you should disregard this because I am just making this up but], you made a great choice."
