As somebody w/ Celiac, you'd be surprised. Many a time I've been poisoned by normal gluten free things being tainted by poor manufacturing lines, or companies mixing in other product. Tortilla chips with gluten, Hashbrowns/Potatoes coated with wheat flour, so many things are made not-gluten-free for no reason.
There is always a reason and it usually has something to do with money. We really need to find a cure for Celiac 'cuz wheat is just too ingrained in our culture to be removed. (pun not intended, but also not removed so...)
Microblogging has always felt so strange to me, I could never get into it. Why would I want to hear dozens of different short-form opinions from people? Maybe it's the 'tism, but that sounds so anxiety inducing & overwhelming.
When your follower/following count is small and you're getting to know people and build a community of people you otherwise wouldn't meet IRL, it can be a great thing. When you start getting inundated with too much information when you have 10K + followers, it can be overwhelming and you lose the signal within the noise and find that it may start affecting other parts of life. I suppose each person is different, but that burned me out and made me uninterested and I burned it all down. I found I was losing sleep checking my phone and getting unusually addicted to stupid things.
Direct 1:1:1 comparison, for V4.1 Flash - V4 Pro 0813 - V4 Flash 0731
Input cache hits (per 1m tokens) - $0.003 Vs. $0.022 Vs. $0.007
Input cache miss (per 1m tokens) - $0.15 Vs. $0.66 Vs. $0.22
Output (per 1m tokens) - $0.6 Vs. $1.98 Vs. $0.66
This is taken from https://api-docs.deepseek.com/quick_start/pricing, and it's comparing only off-peak hours pricing. It looks like V4.1 Flash is cheaper than the current 0731 flash model, and much cheaper than the current V4 Pro model.
I've been using the 0731 Flash V4 model, via Opencode, and I've had no major issues. It feels very comparable to Opus 4.6/4.7, that I use at work. I haven't ran into any of the problem you mention, so that might be a quirk of V4 pro, the specific harness, or maybe the host you're using?
Like _aavaa_ said, make sure you're comparing the right vals 1:1. There's different costs for cache hit, cache misses, output tokens, etc. This one seems, during non-peak hours, cheaper. Peak hours are obviously more expensive, if they're gonna be 2x non-peak pricing. But, that might end up decreasing in the future.
Sorry, how is this evidence of 'excess, managerial, staff, and physical resource capacity and quite literaly nothing else but money,'? It's just a clinical trial/study. You have to sign up for these yourself in the majority of circumstances. I also don't see how this is in any way trying to 'selectively disolve guilt'. What guilt is being dissolved, why is it there? They're just testing the psychological effects of ingesting a psychadelic in the presence of medical professionals?
> If you express something, it should have a constructive purpose.
I feel like trying to make any expression constructive is one of those 'nice in theory' but also 'not a thing that has ever or will ever be done by any human being, because it's an insane inhumane thing to practice' ideals.
You cannot make every expression of opinion constructive. Take the case of this post. There is no need for constructive criticism or expression here, because the people doing this are not doing it out of good will. It then follows that any use of energy to provide that constructive expression is an unnecessary waste of goodwill.
Man, I hate whoever did this. I tried to follow it once, but got stuck in an infinite loop of washing my hair. Luckily, the shampoo bottle only holds a finite amount and I was able to escape the chain when it emptied during my 72nd round of lathering.
